Payment

All tours must be prepaid but please don’t worry! The tour fee is only deducted from your account once we have secured your seats for you.
Payments can be made via credit card (Visa/Mastercard/AMEX) or Alipay.

Most tours require you to show a printed voucher that we would have sent you with your confirmation e-mail.
If you don’t have printing facilities, just let us know and we will send the voucher straight to the tour operator so you all you need to do is show the voucher with your phone.

Some tours require extra fees to be paid on the day of the tour (e.g. environmental levies and/or insurance fees) .
Any tours that have additional costs will be described and mentioned in our product pages, so make sure to thoroughly read through each page.

Preparation

Some tours including Skydiving and Scuba Diving may ask you to refrain from joining their tours due to safety reasons.
Please check the ‘Special Notes’ section in each tour page for details.

During most tours, drivers will drive with a lot of care, but if you tend to get motion sickness, we advise you to take some tablets before the tour starts.
Make sure to bring some water too!

We have many types of tours that cater for all age groups!
For the Great Barrier Reef, we highly recommend the [Green Island and Great Barrier Reef] tour.
The outer reef pontoon has an underwater observatory and has a semi-submarine tour you can join.
Snorkelling gear is provided, with sizes catering to small children, and with just a quick jump into the water, you can see all of the beautiful coral and fish.
Lifegaurds are also always on duty!

Each tour requires different things to bring so please have a look at our tour product page to find out what you need to bring to your tour.
Please be aware that some tours include lunch and some do not.

Reservation

Most tours that involve flying (eg. helicopter tours and scenic flights) require all customers to provide their weight due to aircraft limitations.
Other tours such as Skydiving and Bungy Jumping may also ask your weight for safety reasons.

All bookings cancelled by the customer within 72 hours of departure will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

In any circumstance, all refunds require a credit card refund fee of 3% that will be deducted from the total refund amount.

All refunds will occur in the local currency and refunded to the same credit card used for the payment of tours.
Dr. Tours is not liable for the difference caused in the amount refunded from the original amount paid due to fluctuations in exchange rates.

Weather

Cairns has a tropical climate and the summer lasts from December – April, whereas the winter lasts from May – November.
During Summer, temperatures sir at around 28-32 degrees, and will fall to approx. 15-26 degrees during Winter.

There is minimal rain during the dry season, and even during the wet season, it doesn’t usually rain the whole day.
In most cases, a rainy forecast doesn’t mean too much rain so don’t be too worried!

Although the temperature doesn’t fall too low in Cairns, make sure you bring a jumper to tours during the winter season as it can get quite chilly, especially during the morning and evenings!

When a tour is cancelled due to the weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the tour operator will contact us, or the customers directly.
Please assume your tour is going ahead unless notified!
*Refer to our cancellation policy for more info on cancelled tours.
