  • More about exploring, and the marine biologists encourage and teach passengers how to duck dive (if they would like to learn).
  • Tours generally leave from the platform, but sometimes may involve a drop-off from a small tender, so participants can cover a greater distance
  • The chance to “drift with the current”, before returning to the platform.
  • Distance travelled can be up to several hundred metres.
  • Duration of up to 60+ minutes depends on conditions and passenger experience.
  • To be eligible for an Advanced Snorkel Tour guests must be able to swim unassisted with no flotation device for the duration of the tour.

Introductory Scuba Diving

Suitable for beginners and first time divers – It’s fun and easy! And there is still plenty of time to enjoy all other activities on board with family and friends!

No experience is necessary to experience this amazing underwater world with an introductory scuba dive. If you’ve never dived before, and would like to, Quicksilver offers introductory dives with a highly qualified dive instructor. The only requirements are that you are 12 years or over, pass the on-board medical questionnaire and participate in our 30 minute dive brief.

All equipment, including wetsuits and prescription masks (if required) are included. Multi-lingual diving instructors are available on request. All of our professional dive instructors are PADI qualified.

Certified Scuba Diving

Certified diving at the edge of Australia’s continental shelf is simply spectacular. Certified divers can enjoy up to two spectacular dives lasting approximately 40 minutes – the ultimate experience at Agincourt Reef where visibility is excellent and the variety of marine life is exceptional. Our professional instructors accompany all dives at no extra charge, ensuring maximum experiences, safety and enjoyment.

All equipment, including wetsuits and prescription masks (if required) are included. Certified divers must posses an internationally recognized SCUBA certificate card.

Ocean Walker

Oceanwalker or “helmet diving” is a unique and fun way to experience the underwater world of the reef up close and personal. Breathing fresh air delivered from the surface into your helmet, you will walk underwater on a reef platform – you can even wear your glasses if you wish!

Oceanwalker is suitable for non-swimmers and persons aged over 12 years. After a short briefing and subject to medical conditions, you will be walking amongst the reef fish and corals.

  •  Experience the feeling of diving but instead you’ll be wearing a helmet and breathing normally.
  • No swimming involved – just walk down the ramp steps to the platform.
  • You can wear your glasses and keep your hair dry!
  • 10 minute briefing and safety talk before starting your helmet dive.
  • Maximum of 6 “Oceanwalkers” at a time accompanied by 2 dive instructors.
  • All equipment provided.
  • Souvenir certificate on completion of your helmet dive.

I have been to the reef from Cairns and it was beautiful but personally I liked the Agincourt reef better! It might depend on the location but I felt like the corals were more colourful and visibility was better as well. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
