Hot Air Ballooning has been operating ballooning tours in and around Australia for over 17 years and their commitment to customer services has attracted not only tourists but locals who want to enjoy the spectacular view over Mareeba.
It will be an amazing start to the day, waking up early to watch a beautiful sunrise aboard a hot air balloon, calling for an unforgettable experience in Cairns.
The tour finish time varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise) and with prior notice, bus can drop you off to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai or perhaps a Cairns cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements!

| SPECIAL NOTE | – Jumpers and warm clothing are recommended as it gets quite cold at time at the ballooning site. – Make sure you go to the toilet before the tour starts. – Passengers diving the day before travel should check with a qualified dive master as to the safety of the passenger in participating in the balloon flight. – Cancellation 72 hours prior to departure is subject to 100% cancellations. If pick up is missed, dates of travel could be changed with. |
Standard Flight
Approx. 04:30 : Pick up at accommodation
05:45 : Arrive at Mareeba
06:00 : Balloon flight starts
Flights are conducted in two 30 minute sessions (you will be allocated into groups on the day)
If you are joining the standard 30 minute flight, you will spend one session flying and the other 30 min doing a balloon chase.
The 60 minute flight consists of a double flight of the 2 session (no balloon chase).
08:20 : Help pack up the balloon with participants
09:30 : Arrive in Cairns
Express Flight
Approx. 04:30 : Pick up at accommodation
05:45 : Arrive at Mareeba
06:00 : Balloon flight starts
07:15 : Leave for Cairns after landing
Approx. 08:30 : Arrive in Cairns
