Gone Fishing Cairns is the longest established charter operator of fishing trips in the Cairns Inlet. Established in 1989 they have the knowledge to find that special fish for you. As well as fishing, you may also discover wildlife, including around 20 species of birds and even salt water crocodiles!
The Estuary boat is fully fitted out with live wells, esky’s to keep your catch and drinks icy cold, Global Positioning System, toilet and a colour fish finder to make the tour one of the best Cairns fishing trips and adventures.
If you are lucky enough to be staying in an apartment with a kitchen you might want to cook what you have caught yourself. The other option is for you to take it to one of the local restaurants, who for a small fee, will do justice to your freshly caught fish.
Apart from the fishing, the area offers an abundance of other wildlife to look out for. There are around 20 species of bird that include birds of Prey such as the Osprey, Brahminy Kite and the magnificent White Bellied Sea Eagle.
And don’t forget to be on the look out for Salt Water Crocodiles!
