Reef Magic Cruises operate day trips direct from Cairns to the Marine World activity pontoon located on the outer Great Barrier Reef. You have a whopping 5 hours of free time to explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.

The all-weather Marine World platform caters for all activity levels. Snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon, join our Marine Biologist on a Guided Snorkel Safari, try SNUBA®, Scuba Diving, Sea Trek Helmet Diving or even a Seabob.

Moore Reef

Guided Coral Gardens Snorkel Tour

Perfect for the beginner snorkeller. Join our Marine Naturalist in small groups and learn more about the reef. Explore our sheltered coral lagoon with expert snorkelling assistance and instruction available at all times.

Adventure Snorkel Safari

Suitable for snorkellers who are comfortable in the water, you have the opportunity to explore even further utilising our dedicated snorkel boat.

Drift snorkel the spectacular outer reef wall with our Marine Biologist. The extensive coral formations and HUGE schools of fish have to be seen to be believed!

Introductory Diving

No experience necessary. All equipment supplied including wetsuit & souvenir dive certificate to hang on your wall. The Marine World platform provides a safe, controlled environment perfect for the novice diver. Stairs lead into a sheltered “moon-pool” where you will spend time practicing some basic scuba skills in shallow water before heading off on your dive. Group size is kept small with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor (less if nervous divers) so you know you are in safe hands.

Your first dive will be in our coral lagoon, a shallow sheltered area with dense coral cover and teaming with fish life. The 1st dives last around 20-30 minutes and reach a maximum of 12 metres with most of the dive around 4-5m. On the 2nd or 3rd dives you will have already done the skills leaving more time for the actual dive.

Certified Diving

Reef Magic Cruises are renowned for offering some of the best certified diving on the Great Barrier Reef. With Marine World as your base our dedicated dive tender takes you to a selection of drift, wall & channel dives including swim through, small caves, ledges & drop off’s. These are private locations only accessible to Marine World visitors so you are ensured a unique dive experience.

With 5 hours actual reef time we can offer up to 3 completely different dives in a day. All dives are professionally guided for your safety and enjoyment. We take you direct to the best places, leaving you more time to take in the beauty of your surroundings without the need to navigate.

Sites are chosen to suit the weather conditions on the day and take in to account the experience of the divers. Don’t forget your log book so we can record your Great Barrier Reef experience for you!

Helmet Diving

A guided underwater walking tour without even getting your head wet! Designed for non-swimmers and guests aged 8 to 65.

SNUBA® & SNUBA Doo®

Would you like to “go beyond snorkeling®” but are a little bit intimidated of SCUBA diving, try SNUBA®! A world wide patented, shallow water recreational diving system that is bridging the gap between snorkelling and scuba diving.

SNUBA® Diving is when you go underneath the surface of the water and can stay with in your own level of comfort (you can go back to the surface at any stage). If you choose, you can go down to a maximum depth of 3 metres. There is no need to have any prior experience or training and under the supervision of your certified, professional SNUBA® Guide, you can explore underwater up to 3 metres. You do not need to wear heavy, bulky equipment; just your normal snorkelling gear, SNUBA® harness and a light weight belt.

SNUBA is much easier than snorkelling and is the safest way to explore the underwater world that the whole family can enjoy.

Absolutely Fantastic, staff really had a passion for the reef and really provided great information.
Was lucky enough to do the 2 intro scuba dives and the snorkel safari. All of which where so much fun. The reef was so beautiful and colourful. Can’t wait to visit again.
